International Exhibition Powerexpo Almaty 2018 reflects country's energy potential

The 17th Kazakhstan International Energy, Electrical Equipment and Machine Building Exhibition – Powerexpo Almaty 2018 – one of key business events in the field of energy in Central Asia – will take place on October 23, 2018 in Almaty at Atakent Exhibition Center.

Cable and wire products, electrical, lighting, condenser equipment, instrumentation, mounting tools, modern technologies in hydropower and construction of modern energy complexes, as well as a range of services for energy industry will be presented to the attention of specialists within three days of the exhibition.

Every year Powerexpo Almaty demonstrates a steady growth in the number of exhibitors and an increase in interest from foreign companies. This year more than 80 companies from 12 countries will represent their goods and services: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic. German and Chinese national stands will be represented by more than 20 enterprises.

Over 30% of Powerexpo Almaty exhibition participants are leading Kazakhstan companies: Alageum Electric, Savoir Faire, VALSA, Astana Electrotechnical Plant, BRESLER Trade House, KEMONT, Ust-Kamenogorsk Condenser Plant, Silumin-Vostok, Electroservice PС, ENSTO Kazakhstan and others.

Foreign experience will be shared by Baku Cable Goknur (Azerbaijan), Lampar SRL (Italy), KMB Systems (Czech Republic), Omicron Electronics GmbH (Austria), Sieyuan Electric Co., Ltd., Tyco Electronics Raychem GmbH (Germany), Untel Kablolari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (Turkey), NPO MIR, Sverdlovsk plant of current transformers (Russia), etc. Collective stand of the Chuvash Republic will traditionally present enterprises of its region.

This year's among debutants are Cyber Power Systems, Kabel Tech Energy, KMB Systems, NTE, UGS, Untel Kablolari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS, Volta Macchine, Ai-Tor, Gistar, Kazakh Institute of Technical Development, Kisan, Permspetscabel, Sumgait Technological Park.

Today Kazakhstan is gradually moving to a "green economy", optimizing consumption of fuel and energy resources, increasing efficiency of environmental protection activities and creating "green" infrastructure, by introducing energy-saving technologies presented at EXPO-2017 in Astana.

Taking into account the fact that there is a significant resource potential in the country for wind and sun, constant technical progress and decline in value of equipment in green energy, Powerexpo Almaty 2018 will open and strengthen potential of domestic companies-producers and business entities in energy sector, thanks to extensive discussion of current problems, presentations of new technologies and exchange of experience.

Professional preparation of the exhibition will allow specialists to get acquainted with modern trends in energy saving, with new tools for increase of energy efficiency, to exchange knowledge and developments in the field of culture of energy consumption and provision of rational pricing policy for energy resources for the population and business.

Business program of Powerexpo Almaty 2018 will include thematic round tables, business meetings and seminars. Alageum Electric will organise a seminar on October 23, next day business program will be continued by the companies Elektropribor, NPO MIR and RSP COMPANY, Kazakhstan Association of Energy Auditors will hold another training seminar regarding energy audit.

It is worth noting that the exhibition is held annually by exhibition company Iteca jointly with International Group of Companies ITE (Great Britain) for 17 years. Power Kazakhstan exhibition (in present Powerexpo Almaty) is marked by UFI Approved Event sign of the Global Association of Exhibition Industry (UFI). For many domestic and foreign suppliers of equipment, participation in Powerexpo Almaty exhibition is directly connected with strategic prospects of business development.

In 2018 the exhibition will be held with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Samruk-Energo JSC, KEGOC JSC, Almaty Electric Power Plants JSC, Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy JSC; representatives of leading international and local energy companies and manufacturers of electrical equipment and technologies; heads of REC, TPP, HPP, GRES; power engineers of industrial enterprises-consumers and branch specialists, representatives of research and design institutes, energy unions and associations.

The exhibition will be held in the period from October 23 to October 25.
