Powerexpo Almaty 2019 is a future of domestic power economy
The International Energy, Electrical Equipment and Machine Building Exhibition - Powerexpo Almaty 2019 has been opened in Almaty. Over 100 companies from 13 world countries present their achievements: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Italy, China, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, South Korea, and, of course, Kazakhstan.
For 18 years of work, Powerexpo Almaty has become an established international platform proposing innovations in the field of power energy, lighting equipment, and power saving. Here, Kazakhstani and foreign specialists meet to share their experience, discuss problems and trends of the industry, establish long term business connections, and conclude contracts.
Head of the Department of Energy Saving and Increase of Energy Efficiency of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of RK Zhaksylyk Tokayev noted that the role of the Powerexpo Almaty exhibition for the development of the industry is growing every year.
«Powerexpo Almaty today is not only an exhibition but a platform where professionals meet to discuss acute issues: power saving, certification, «green» economy, and so on. It holds conferences, seminars, presentations of innovations. The exhibition sets trends, and Kazakhstani companies take them up and implement them at their enterprises in the regions. We must follow those trends. For us, as representatives of state bodies, the exhibition is an opportunity to tell about their work, receive feedback from business, adjust direction for further development,» - thinks Zhaksylyk Tokayev.
During the seminar, he talked about projects of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of RK on certification and labeling of energy-efficient equipment and sustainable development of cities. According to Zhaksylyk Tokayev Kazakhstan, together with UNDP, plans to launch a testing laboratory with the attraction of foreign specialists to implement energy-saving production at domestic plants.
The UNDP-GEF Project Manager Syrym Nurgaliyev noticed, that the Government of Kazakhstan set a task to achieve 50% of electrical energy consumption from alternative resources.
«Today, the price per kilowatt-hour at the auctions on the construction of electrical stations with renewable energy resources has reached 22 tenge. When price achieves 19-15 tenge, the alternative stations will be able to compete with the traditional energy industry. The UNDP has a program for businesses, helping to install energy-saving stations at their facilities, subsidizing 10% of the bank rate», - said Syrym Nurgaliyev.
During the seminar, specialists of VIKA Kazakhstan company shared their experience on how to use innovations at generating stations, heating networks, nuclear power energy, industrial water preparation, and during electrical energy transit to their maximum. Eltech component staff told about the broad spectrum of sources for office, street, and industrial applications, as well as about the possibilities of power unit programming.
Participants of Powerexpo Almaty 2019 present modern high-precision control and measuring equipment, automated systems for an accounting of resources, and technological processes. EDMI Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of smart metering for Singapore, presented at the exhibition its latest products: innovative meters and metering systems for the global utility industry.
The participating companies brought to Almaty both modified versions of well-known models and completely new solutions. The Laboratory of the Future from Yekaterinburg city presented the world's first drone maintenance system for electrical networks. In Russia, the system is already being operated by the Ural interregional distribution network company. The Laboratory of the Future is ready to organize pilot projects in Kazakhstan to verify the technology and enter the Central Asian market.
Among the exhibitors, 69% are international, 31% are Kazakhstani companies.
