MENNEKES: being ready for the future
MENNEKES is a leading manufacturer of industrial plugs and connectors with subsidiaries and branches in over 90 countries. The company was founded in 1935 when Aloys Mennekes received the master craftsmen senior electrician certificate and set up his own business.
Today MENNEKES has 1.000 employees worldwide, two-thirds of them are based in Germany. Production for the international market takes place in our headquarters in Kirchhundem/Sauerland region and in Neudorf/Erzgebirge. Additional production facilities in Jiangsu/China supply the Chinese market.
With 16 branches, our own technical field representation and our head office in Kirchhundem, sales are covered within Germany and we are in close contact with electrical wholesalers and the electrical trade, as well as with industry. Internationally, we maintain contact with our customers through our subsidiaries in eight countries as well as joint ventures in China and the USA. More than 90 partners abroad supervise the other export destinations around the world
The range of products has grown and today numbers over 15,000 different standard and specialized items. The range covers standardized CEE industrial plugs and sockets and electric mobility solutions in different shapes and designs as standard devices or developed specially to meet particular customer requirements.
In addition, we have been working on the development of charging connectors for electronic vehicles since the 90s. Over these years MENNEKES has developed charging devices that fulfill all today’s needs while being ready for those of the future. MENNEKES submitted this as draft standard to the IEC early in 2009.
MENNEKES plugs and sockets are quality products. All companies in the MENNEKES group are certified according to the DIN EN ISO 9001 standard. Our products have attracted more than 5,000 attestations and accreditations.
