Nursultan Nazarbayev met with chairman of Chevron board of directors
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with Michael Wirth, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Chevron.
As the press service of the RK President informs, during the meeting the parties discussed current issues and prospects for cooperation in the sphere of oil production and refining.
The Head of State stressed that over the past years the parties have built close and mutually beneficial relations, and also noted the beginning of a new stage of cooperation.
The President of Kazakhstan also congratulated Michael Wirth on his assumption of office and wished him success in this responsible position.
In turn, Michael Wirth thanked the Head of State for his congratulations and also stressed the productive nature of the relations built.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev also met with the chairman of the board of directors of the Chevron company, Kazpravda.kz reports.
As the press service of the RK Prime Minister informs, during the meeting the issues of cooperation with the company and implementation of new investment projects in digitalization area and introduction of new technologies into the economy of Kazakhstan were discussed within the framework of the President's Address "New Development Opportunities in Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution".
In Kazakhstan, Chevron participates in Tengizchevroil LLP, the Karachaganak project and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
