Kazakhstan delegation took part in the work of the world energy conference "IHS CERAWeek" in Houston
The Kazakhstan delegation in early March, led by First Deputy Minister of Energy Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, took part in the IHS CERAWeek 2018 Executive Conference in Houston, USA.
This year, the forum hosted more than 3,400 participants from 60 countries, including energy ministers, heads of international organizations and energy corporations.
During the conference, the Kazakh delegation took part in the discussion of the most pressing issues of the global energy agenda.
In particular, M.Dosmukhambetov spoke at the panel session of the "Energy Ministerial Dialogue", devoted to world trends in the oil and gas sector, first of all, to the factors of pricing in the world oil market.
In his speech, he informed his colleagues and participants about the current situation in the oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan, the ongoing reforms and further plans for the modernization of the industry, including the construction of the 4th oil refinery and the implementation of some oil, gas and chemical projects.
In addition, within the framework of the visit, the Kazakh delegation, which also included representatives from JSC NC KazMunaiGaz, LLP United Chemical Company and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United States, met with global energy leaders, as well as with leading members of the industrial and technical sectors and institutional investors.
In particular, meetings were held with major US and international companies ExxonMobil, Primus Power, Breakthrough Fuel, Valero, Phillips66, Westlake Chemical. During the dialogue, the current state of cooperation and prospects for further cooperation between Kazakhstan and these companies were discussed.
The IHS CERAWeek Forum is the prestigious annual meeting of the global energy industry and has a great impact on the global energy agenda.
