Kazatomprom in cooperation with world nuclear companies, is planning to implement automation and digitalization
“Within an international exhibition "Astana Expo-2017” at section “World of Atomic Energy” National Atomic Company “Kazatompro” and leading world nuclear companies - Cameco Corporation, Uranium One Inc., CGN and AREVA - have signed memorandum of cooperation”, the national company’s press service reported.
“The parties intend to cooperate in the field of automation, digitalization and joint ventures, in particular, to develop projects for BigData, Internet of things, additive technologies, 3D-modeling and cloud technologies. In addition, the memoranda foresee joint seminars, forums, internships purposed to sharing experience", - is indicated in the message.
It is noted that all four documents determine the possibilities of cooperation for implementation in “Kazatomprom” tasks outlined in the Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s message "Third modernization of Kazakhstan: a global competitiveness” and within the state program "Digital Kazakhstan".
"In the message, the head of state said that industry and production are necessary to be moved to digitalization, and today's memoranda are a practical fulfillment of those instructions. Therefore, all our joint ventures will be digitized, use robotic elements and build their work using large scale data analysis", - the chairman of the board of "Kazatomprom” Askar Zhumagaliev stressed, the words of whom are given in the message.
According to the press service, "Kazatomprom” currently realizes the concepts of
the “Industry 4.0”.
“In particular, in the “Kazatomprom” complex automation of basic directions of uranium production is coducted. Projectslaunched: "Digital Mine", ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), an integrated planning system, Situation Center, which are the platform for the "Industry 4.0. On the subsidiary enterprise “Kazatomprom-SaUran” the process of robotization of the filling line of ready products is conducted. The filling, weighing and shipping of the uranium product will be carried out not by employees but a robotic complex", - is explained in the message.
“Kazatomprom” is a national operator of Kazakhstan for the export of uranium and its compounds, rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power stations, special equipment, technologies and dual-use materials.
